DIY : Embellished heart sandals // Sandales custo à coeurs

Here’s a pretty DIY ! I’ve been thinking about this for a while so this morning when I woke up and saw the sun I got my fabric glue out ! In a few minutes these were DIYed and will be ready to wear as soon as they’re dry. All you have to do is pick out an old pair of sandals and stick pretty hearts (or other embellishment) on them – simple as that ! ♥

Voici une jolie idée custo ! Prenez vos sandales, collez de jolis coeurs (ou autre) dessus, laissez sécher et voilà !

Enjoy !

DIY : Homemade Bath Bomb // Boule de Bain Maison

Somedays, DIYing just doesn’t go according to plan. Today was one of those days. You know what it’s like, however hard you try, however many projects you try to get stuck into… It’s just not gonna happen ! So I decided to give up on the millions of marvelous things I had to show you today and go and get me some pampering ! But of course Creativity kicks back in when you least expect it and I ended up making something after all. I had a beautifully relaxing bath with this Homemade Bath Bomb and just had to share it ! The oats are great for a soft soothing bathe and the lavender smells delicious even though the flowers aren’t out yet ! The salt will help with any aches or pains and the rest just makes you feel special ! The perfect end to a long week-end ♥

Here’s how to do it yourself :

Toi-même tu sais faire :

Until tomorrow, sleep tight : )

DIY Pearl hair piece

Pearls are sprinkled everywhere this year, pretty and precious. Chanel’s inspiring Karl Lagerfeld included a large number of pearls in his S/S 12 fashion shows and often times these were used to embellish the models’ hair-do’s. I will be doing some simple pearl hair-pins for you soon, but after so long off DIYing, I felt like making something a little more creative this time… So, I had a good dig around and sorted through the numerous pearl beads I had stashed away :

Realizing I had many different shapes and forms of pearl beads, I decided to make an elaborate pearl hair piece : )

To make your own Pearl Hair Piece, YOU WILL NEED :

– A selection of pretty pearls

– Some waxed bead thread

– A hair grip

– A bobby pin

– Fabric glue

– A couple of hours’ creativeness

– A calm classical piece of music for extra inspiration

Here goes the tutorial :

First of all, tie your bead thread to the hair grip. You don’t have to use every hole, depending on how large your beads are. Push your beads up the thread, one strand after the other, making them shorter towards the top and slightly longer towards the bottom for extra shape. Tie the other end of the thread to the bobby pin. Double knot. Cut off the remaining thread and use fabric glue or craft glue to glue a few pearls over the top of the grip to hide the holes and knots. There you have it !

And the result :

Hope you like it ! Keep reading,

xx
