Well it has been another wet day in London, but seeing as we sussed the raincoat dilemma yesterday, I had a lovely walk around the city for St George’s day. Still needing a map you may notice – this place is HUGE !
– Trench by H&M (2011)
– Sweater / Pull by Kookaï (it’s even nicer without a trench covering it up !)
– Snuggly alpaca hat / Bonnet en alpaga bought in Peru
– Neutral tote / Cabas The Clever Baggers (ready to be DIYed !)
– Glasses (prescription) / Lunettes de vue by Ralph Lauren
– Earrings / Boucles d’oreilles by Louche @ Joy
– Lipstick / Rouge à Lèvres #140 KISS ME by Rimmel
– Neon Nailpolish / Vernis à ongles fluo by American Apparel
And this is the song I’ve been singing to myself all day ! / Et voilà ce que j’ai chantonnée toute la journée !
“I’m just a little bit caught in the middle…”

Just when you think you’ve grown up a little, a brand new toy comes along. I’ve been having an amazing time messing around with my Olympus XZ-1 camera this past week and seem to be taking sneaky snaps of everything. Some of them are useless but some of them come out great and I think this was the case for the short set of photos I stole from my local “General Shop”. Isn’t that a great name ?! You wouldn’t really know what is in a “General Shop” unless you walked in, would you ? And to be honest you wouldn’t really walk in unless you were looking for something you had no luck finding in “Specific Shops” ! Well that’s how long it took me to find out what was inside this wonderful trove. To my pleasant surprise I found exactly what I needed and more – teasures untold, thingamabobs, gadgets and whozits galore !
Isn’t it fascinating ?! I could have bought the whole place just so I had time to go through it piece by piece ! Unfortunately, all I needed were a few hooks, and they were just as easy to find as they were to put up !
Bye for now !

I often travel to Paris and so don’t necessarily visit all the expected spots when I’m there. This time I actually would have liked to visit the Tim Burton exhibition, but unfortunately didn’t have time. I did make the most of my stay, however, in my own special way !
I arrived in the evening and shot straight off for my favorite walk from Paris 3ème (photo 1) all the way to Opéra Garnier (photo 2). I then grabbed something to eat in a nearby sea-food restaurant (check out their takeaway booth photo 3). Then I did some nighttime shopping in Monoprix – Mavala top-up time (photos 4) ! The next day I took a stroll across the center at dawn, loving having the city all to myself (photo 5). I even came across a “pop up shop” (photo 6). What a good idea to give smaller brands a bigger chance : ) I came across some beautiful street art that morning too (photos 7, 8, 9) and bought some delish choccy from Newtree (photo 10).
